Spring Tour Blue Ridge Parkway
and Shenandoah Valley Virginia - May 3 to 9, 2009
This tour, hosted
by Phil and Sue Brooks, will be a week-long drive through parts of the Shenandoah
Valley
and Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. This will be a Hub Tour, staying at the
Stonewall Jackson Hotel
in Staunton each night, with daily excursions through the beautiful Virginia
countryside. The Stonewall Jackson Hotel,
one of the Historic Hotels of America (www.stonewalljacksonhotel.com), was built
in 1924 and recently
completed a $22 million renovation. It is located within walking distance of
fine restaurants, the
Blackfriars Playhouse, and the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library, all of which
will be included in our program. Day trips will include a tour of Lexington,
Natural Bridge, and a Safari Park;
the National D-Day Museum in Bedford and Thomas Jefferson's retreat, Poplar
Forest; tours through
some of the most beautiful passes in the Blue Ridge Mountains as well as Goshen
Pass in the
Appalachian Foothills; wineries; the Cyrus McCormick Farm; Skyline Drive; and
much more!
One evening will include dinner and a performance of "Hamlet" at the
Blackfriars Playhouse,
a recreation of Shakespeare's indoor theatre in London. The tour will be limited
to about 35 cars.

RROC National 2009 Fall Tour - Route 66 Chicago to St. Louis

LeBoy is in the planning stages of the Fall 2009 Tour.
The tour will start in Chicago and travel down Route 66 to Springfield and then
to St. Louis.
He has already identified special events, private museums, a Mississippi river
cruise and more.
Final plans are due later this year.

Tour Natchez Trace
Tour Chairman, Kelly Kyle, has planned the tour to
start in Franklin, TN (south of Nashville) and
head south down the Natchez Trace to Florence, AL, Tupelo, MS, Oxford, MS, Yazoo
City, MS,
Jackson, MS and end in Natchez, MS. Total driving distance is approximate 550
miles over 6 days.
